I acquired the two of these and a chrome straight axle w/disc brakes last night in exchange for doing some pan and dash repairs on a 1970 Nova. Now to see if I can get more time from somewhere.

The one on the trailer will be my son's if he is still interested when we get them home, it has an opening trunk. The one with a solid rear deck will be as I picture it now Candy Root Beer brown or Candy Apple Red, straight front axle, aluminum slots all around big n littles of course, not necessarily nose high but it will be gasser style. I'm thinking something that resembles Hilborn injection but streetable if that's possible. CJ's, I have no idea of what his interpretation will be.

Bunch of guys I hung out with (ended up being "the Ventouri's car club)back in High school had a Henry J that we raced up in New England and on long island area. It was called Mr. Machine and had a picture of the robot toy of the same name painted on the sides.

That's way cool Ron. I've wanted to build one of these since prolly 1977 when I saw one at the speed shop next to my friend's dad's gas station. It was just bad ass, it had Halibrands, spindle mounts and injection. I was only ten at the time and was hooked. When my buddy John called the other day about these, I couldn't say sold quick enough.

Looks like I only own one of them now. I sold the other for more than I paid for both. My son might end up with a plastic 34 Chevy.

that one when you were 10 sounds like the old Mr. Machine. we has halibrands on a straight front end (from a 31 ford) a blown and injected 58 olds rocket. it was all black. had the rearend moved forward about 4", (way before the "Factory sponsered A/FX ers)

Participating during those halcyon years of racing had to be awesome! The cars were cool and ingenuity reigned supreme.

we also had 200 lbs of mercury in each frame rail. nice and even on the tech scales but it would all go to the back on launch. 400 lbs of moving traction over the rear wheels. It took them 3 years before they caught on....lol

I'm assuming that was some hella expensive traction fluid.

No matter what way you take it, I'll be watching. Can't go wrong with an orphan make. 8-)

I don't care what anyone says... you put yourself in great mortal peril when you let a unicorn give you a blowjob.
